Three premier hospitality projects developed by the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) have been recognized among the top 10 percent of hotels globally for 2025. These include The Chedi Al Bait, Sharjah, Al Badayer Retreat, and Kingfisher Retreat.
This ranking is based on the quality and excellence of the hospitality experience provided, featuring unique stays in diverse natural settings with an emphasis on sustainability, local identity, and world-class culinary offerings curated by Michelin-starred chefs, WAM reported.
This accolade reflects Shurooq’s continuous commitment to creating hospitality destinations that blend luxury with culture and history, allowing guests to engage with Emirati heritage in authentic environments that capture the spirit of the place.
The ranking is determined by guest reviews on Tripadvisor, one of the world’s leading travel platforms and a global reference for travelers’ opinions.
Shurooq stated that this milestone illustrates its strategic vision to develop hospitality destinations that integrate sustainability and quality, while enhancing Sharjah’s position as a global tourism hub.
The authority further noted that these destinations are part of its efforts to strengthen the emirate’s tourism and hospitality sector through innovative projects focused on environmental preservation, promotion of local culture, and support for the local economy, aligning with Sharjah’s sustainable development and economic diversification goals.
